It took hundreds of years of waiting, and our determination, between the invention of ice cream as we know it, and the invention of ice cream as a wearable fragrance. The Library of Fragrance Vanilla Ice Cream is sinfully rich, but also as bright, warm and inviting as a perfect summer’s day.

We know that Alexander the Great enjoyed snow and ice flavoured with honey and nectar. During the Roman Empire, Nero Claudius Caesar (A.D. 54 – 86) frequently sent runners into the mountains for snow, which was then flavoured with fruits and juices. Over a thousand years later, Marco Polo returned to Italy from the Far East with a recipe that closely resembled what is now called sherbet. Historians estimate that this recipe evolved into ice cream sometime in the 16th century.

Did you know that The Library of Fragrance colognes can be layered to create scents that are unique to you? Mix and match any two, or more, to create combinations for every mood and occasion. Here are some suggestions to try with Vanilla Ice Cream:

Confused about the difference between cologne and perfume, parfum, eau de parfum, eau de toilette and/or aftershave? These different names simply refer to the concentration of fragrance oil within the bottle. All our fragrances are colognes, which means that they contain between 2-8% of fragrance oil. All of our products are unisex; we don’t believe that fragrance has a gender.
