The Library of Fragrance
Play-Doh 15ml

£10.00 (P&P Royal Mail 1st Class from £2.81… more info)

The PLAY-DOH® brand modelling compound was invented in 1956 at Rainbow Crafts, a Cincinnati-based cleaning company. Scientists there were trying to develop wallpaper cleaner when they discovered the now iconic children's play stuff. Realising the compound's potential, the company introduced it at the American International Toy Fair in New York City in 1956. PLAY-DOH compound was first available only in one colour and size - an off-white, 1.5 pound can. Now, half a century later, kids can explore their imaginations and express their creativity with up to 50 colours and all manner of accessories. Naturally, the formula for PLAY-DOH compound still remains a closely-guarded secret to this day.

The Library of Fragrance bottled that fresh, just-out-of-the-can, eau de PLAY-DOH aroma as part of a year-long celebration of the beloved brand's 50th birthday and it swiftly became one of our best-sellers, enjoyed especially by highly-creative people, who seek a whimsical scent reminiscent of their childhood.

Did you know that The Library of Fragrance colognes can be layered to create scents that are unique to you? Mix and match any two, or more, to create combinations for every mood and occasion. Here are some suggestions to try with Play-Doh:

  • To add a clean note, layer with Musk #7
  • To add a floral note, layer with Daisy
  • To add a fresh note, layer with Salt Air
  • To add a fruity note, layer with Fig Leaf
  • To add a sweet note, layer with Hawaiian Vanilla
  • To add a green note, layer with Grass
  • To add a woody / spicy note, layer with Oud

Confused about the difference between cologne and perfume, parfum, eau de parfum, eau de toilette and/or aftershave? These different names simply refer to the concentration of fragrance oil within the bottle. All our fragrances are colognes, which means that they contain between 2-8% of fragrance oil. All of our products are unisex.
