The Library of Fragrance - this fortnight's reviews!

Thank you to Emma Louise May for this beautiful picture of our Sunshine, Baby Powder and Pure Soap Colognes!

This gorgeous image kind of makes us think of Spring, but as October 2015 was on the horizon, thoughts generally started to turn towards more Autumnal-inspired scents, with Halloween and Bonfire Night just around the corner; a smashing excuse to indulge in some warming and comforting scents!...

...And, this was evoked perfectly by Stephanie at Hope, Freedom, Love blog, who wrote about switching to an autumn fragrance and fell for our Paperback fragrance, saying…” I can honestly say it's gorgeous. It's very sweet; it has a lovely scent of vanilla (which I actually normally hate) but it's paired with this stunning musky, dusty scent, which just sets it alive. I've sprayed this on my wrists as I'm typing and I just cannot stop sniffing, it's lovely!”

Earlier in the month, Stephanie also remembered that it was our first year anniversary of being stocked in Boots. Hooray! See here – Hope, Freedom, Love for the full post. “To celebrate they are bringing five of their top sellers from their website to Boots. The new scents available at Boots are; OudPaperbackPistachio Ice CreamSalt Air and Wet Garden. I LOVE the sound of Pistachio Ice Cream, heavenly!”

Further along in the month, ElleUk.com were also looking for new scent inspiration as the days turned colder and also turned to our beloved Paperback, which made the final edit of their ‘Best New Fragrances for Autumn/Winter 2015’. “Did you know that organic compounds are released by aging paper which gives old books that distinctive musty scent? This smells just like that, only better.”

Thanks go to Chloe at Yours Chloe for a lovely write-up of our brand, which she had been watching for a while. Of Sex on the Beach – going back to a more summery scent – she says, “As with all of their fragrances, the distinctive scent displayed on the label is exactly what your nose is treated to… It’s a delicious scent, almost drinkable. Although “Sex on the Beach” is a fairly summery scent, I can still see it making an appearance in the colder months also.” Chloe also talks about how well our fragrances can be layered and offers up a pairing of Sex on the Beach and Vanilla Ice Cream; and we can confirm that this is absolutely delicious!

On the subject of Sex on the Beach we wanted to thank Bethany Louise for including it in her ‘September Beauty Haul’. She says…”…I would definitely recommend you check out their things...It’s really nice, especially for the price…since they smell so good…Definitely recommend you pick one of these up.”

Emily, blogging at The Perks of Being Emily also road-tested Vanilla Ice Cream and Cherry Blossom, which she described as “delicious” and “uplifting”, respectively. She also quite rightly states, “What I love about these scents is that they have a scent to suit everybody.”

Finally, this month, over at the Emma Louise May blog, Emma wrote us a lovely review after trying out three of our wondrous scents; Sunshine, Baby Powder and Pure Soap. She says: “The Library of Fragrance scents are created to capture all the wonderful smells that surround us on a daily basis, such as Dirt, Grass, Sunshine, Soap, Baby Powder, Pizza the list honestly goes on and on. The Library of Fragrance have such a wide range of scents no matter how odd or unusual which I found very interesting. I choose three scents from their collection, which were Sunshine, Baby Powder and Pure Soap and I'm in love with each one of them. I also found it very interesting that you can layer on more than one scent to create scents that are personally unique to you. I found all of the three scents that I have tried will last for around 5 hours on my skin which is actually really good.”

Thanks for reading and check back again soon for more news from October!
