The Library of Fragrance - this week's reviews, 15 May 2015

PHOTO CREDIT: With thanks to Jess at the Thrifty Blogger UK blog, for this lovely shot of our Fresh Coconut and Freesia Colognes... Jess is also helping us to set up a 'Fan Pics' board on our Pinterest page... so if you have any that you would like to add, please get pinning!

Here's our round-up of who's been saying what, this past week. Click through to any that you would like to read in full...!

At the beginning of the week, Asmaa at the Chocolate Hijabi blog tried layering one of our most sultry, smokey combinations of scents - Fireplace and Oud. The verdit?..."Both are fairly strong fragrances, and while I appreciate wearing them individually, I think they're best when layered. The combination of musky Oud and smoky fire logs, is definitely my personal favourite, and the two scents create a sweet yet rich blend, perfect for evenings out. It also has a slight masculine tone, which completely goes against my normal girly-vanilla based perfumes, but it's something that I can't get enough of..."

And on a similar note, Ray at the Toy Saturn blog gets experimental with our Cherry Blossom Cologne, blending it with Thunderstorm to create her own unique scent for spring. Whilst Ioanna, at the Hearting blog, writes about how she is loving both our Cherry Blossom and Daisy Colognes - worn individually, and layered together as we move into the spring season. Meanwhile, Kirsty Leanne at the Just a Little Bit Ginger blog writes about her layering adventures with our Cherry BlossomDaisy and Fresh Laundry Colognes, which is one of our absolute favourite recipes for the spring! You can also check our Kirsty Leanne's handy tips for getting started with layering our fragrances. Likewise, Adele at the Adele Smith blog also finds this trio to be a winner, saying, "They smell INCREDIBLE."

Later in the week, Jess at the Thrifty Blogger UK blog tries out both our Fresh Coconut and Freesia Colognes and talks about the pairings she'd like to try next with Fresh Coconut, in particular. Have you noticed that we've started to publish recipes for custom blending on our website? 28 of our fragrances now have recommended suggestions in their product descriptions, and we'll be adding more over time. You can also always get in touch if you would like some personalised suggestions from us.

On Thursday, Jamie Lee at the Glitter Infatuation blog describes our Sunshine Cologne as "summer in a bottle". Meanwhile, on the Beauty Junkie London blog, our Clean Skin, Fresh Laundry and Pure Soap Colognes are mentioned in a round-up of 'clean' scents - so perfect as daytime fragrances as we head into the steamy summer months.

And on the theme of 'clean' smelling scents, you might like to check out Glossybox UK's latest round up of salt-themed fragrances, featuring our very own Salt Air Cologne. This one will take you straight to the beach and adds a fresh, crisp, savoury note to almost any other fruity or floral fragrances.

Finally, there's still a lot of love flying around for our best-selling Baby Powder and Thunderstorm Colognes. Read the write up on the Simply Just Natalie blog for this week's latest.

Have a great week and check back next week for more news about our reviews!
