The Library of Fragrance - this week's reviews, 17 April 2015

PHOTO CREDIT: With thanks to The Sunday Girl for this picture taken in her wonderful post about Weird, Wonderful & Customisable Fragrance!

Here's our round-up of who's been saying what, this past week. Click through to any that you would like to read in full...!

There's been a small flurry of excitement on the web, following a recent giveaway of our #FragranceFoundationUK award nominees! You can read what some of the recipients thought of our best-selling Baby Powder and Thunderstorm Colognes over at The Ace Sparkle Star blog, the Northumberland Mam blog, the Beauty Balm blog, the My Dreamality blog, the Skinned Cartree blog, the Beauty Queen UK blog, the Just Charlie G blog and the Kats Paws blog. The award winners will be announced at the Fragrance Foundation Awards on the 14th May... so keep your fingers crossed for us and we'll obviously keep you posted!

If you're looking for some suggestions for how to layer your fragrance to create your own, customised scent, have a quick read of The Sunday Girl's blog (we love her suggestion of adding a dash of our Black Pepper Cologne to add an 'edge' to floral fragrances that you might have in your collection). And, if you're ever wondered what sunshine smells like, check out the Mummy's Beauty Corner blog for a review of our namesake cologne, Sunshine. On author, Dagmara's recommendation, we're pairing Sunshine with our Daisy Cologne, today - and it's quite true: they combine to create the most perfect spring scent imaginable.

Finally, this week, we loved reading Samantha, from the I Scent You a Day blog's, review of our Mahogany Cologne. Samantha's beautiful descriptions of fragrance always make us smile, but we particularly loved reading this verdict: "It opens with ancient, antique wood, all dark and  faintly spicy, and then a  little breeze of incense comes in, and even a hint of an unlit log fire, a  faint wisp of wood smoke and that unique scent of an old stone castle, not quite musty, not quite smoky, but somewhere in between.  It’s heavenly I tell you, and I have been dousing myself in it as if it were a marinade."

Have a great week and check back next week for more news about our reviews!
