The Library of Fragrance - this week's reviews, 10 April 2015

PHOTO CREDIT: With thanks to Heather at the Of Beauty & Nothingness blog!

Here's our round-up of who's been saying what, this past week. Click through to any that you would like to read in full...!

Have you sniffed out our latest launch, yet? Heather at the Of Beauty & Nothingness blog tried out our 'Mountain Air' Cologne, last week, concluding that, "In the UK spring has just sprung but it is still quite chilly, grey and gloomy (in Manchester it always is!) so this fragrance is perfect, in my opinion. To me the fragrance is a mixture of crisp woods, fresh water and the seaside; there is definitely a mountain pine scent but it also smells incredibly fresh, light and spring like as well. I think this scent is definitely unisex as overall it is fairly masculine but not so much so than women couldn't wear it..."

Meanwhile, the Beauty Junkie London blog also has spring on its mind, with a delectable trio of some of our springiest scents - 'Daffodil', 'Grass' and 'Rain' (Rain for April showers, of course!). And we loved reading the descriptions written about each one, as well as the following verdict: "My favourite thing about The Library of Fragrance isn’t each individual scent, but how they can be layered and combined to make something unique. These three are the perfect example of how you can wear each alone, or combine/layer into something custom. You could go for two or all three – you could do more of one and a light spritz of the other. So many combination options – it can be a nice way to find something unique to you. I especially like the idea of having one ‘core’ signature scent of your own that you then combine with others over the year to make it seasonal, but always with one constant becoming your ‘thing’ that stays familiar. At £15 each (or two for £25) they still cost less than an expensive bottle of designer fragrance and can create something far more unique. Definitely worth checking out in my opinion!..."

Elsewhere, we were delighted to see our 'Sunshine' in the Wonderlusting blog's round up of March favourites - particularly because Lyda shares that it's the only scent that her chap has ever commented on... "You smell amazing, what are you wearing?" (quote!). And who could blame him? Our 'Sunshine' is inspired by the scent of your favourite, most comfortable cotton T-Shirt, warmed by the sun and summer skin, with just a hint of suntan lotion. Delicious.

Finally, with excitement brewing about the impending new Royal arrival, our pal Jo Fairley at The Perfume Society includes us in a gorgeous feature in the Telegraph Online about fragrance that's made for, or inspired by babies. That's right, in France it's common place to scent baby clothes with the likes of Petit Guerlain and Jacadi Baby, but as Jo explores, there are plenty of other scents that have been designed to be worn by Mums or to capture the special relationship between mother and child. Our best-selling 'Baby Powder' is included, with Jo writing, "Not a baby scent, this, but one for grown-ups who love the nostalgic scent of Johnson & Johnson's iconic talc: sweet, cocooning and soothing. Thumb-sucking optional, while wearing."

Have a great week and check back next week for more news about our reviews!
